What is Laser Bruis Fade?

Low-level laser therapy can treat bruising by breaking up the haemoglobin and protein molecules within the red blood cells that cause the colouring of the bruise.

How does it work?

Our Cutera Excel V+ laser system is safe, effective, and versatile for addressing various skin concerns, such as fading bruises. 

How many treatments?

Patients can see results in as little as one treatment. Depending on your concerns. We recommend 3-6 treatments every 4 weeks.

Fading a bruise with laser treatment is an effective option. There are a few other treatments that can also help in this regard:

1. Topical treatments: Hirudoid cream and other over-the-counter creams or ointments containing ingredients such as arnica, vitamin K, or bromelain may help reduce the appearance of bruises.
2. Cold compresses: Applying a cold compress or ice pack to the bruised area immediately after an injury can help reduce swelling and minimise blood spread.
3. Time: Ultimately, bruises will fade naturally over time as the body reabsorbs the trapped blood.
