What are the after-care guidelines for this treatment?

Adhering to the aftercare instructions is essential for minimizing the risk of complications and achieving the best possible results from your treatment. Following your session, it's important to refrain from strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours and avoid face-down massages for the next 14 days. Additionally, do not press, push, or massage the treated areas unless specifically advised by your practitioner. To further protect the treated areas, steer clear of other facial or aesthetic treatments, such as facials, peels, laser hair removal, or waxing. Lastly, avoid flying or international travel for two weeks post-treatment to ensure optimal healing and outcomes.

What should I do after my treatment?

Following aftercare instructions is crucial for minimizing the risk of side effects after your treatment. For the first 24 hours, avoid makeup and moisturizers with active ingredients to prevent infection, and refrain from consuming alcohol to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling. Avoid applying significant pressure to the treated area for two weeks, and minimize strenuous exercise or activities that increase blood flow to the face for the first 24-48 hours to help reduce swelling and bruising. Additionally, avoid exposure to excessive heat and touching the area for six hours post-treatment. To alleviate swelling and discomfort, apply cold compresses (but not directly on the skin) and consider using creams like Arnica or Hirudoid. Stay hydrated by drinking water regularly, and keep your head elevated while sleeping for 48 hours to further reduce swelling.

Will I bruise after the treatment?

While bruising is a potential side effect, it is not guaranteed. Individual responses vary, and some patients may experience minor bruising or swelling. To help minimise these effects, we offer complimentary LED therapy during post-treatment appointments to aid in healing and reduce bruising.
