Clinic Founder | Registered Nurse
Maddy, the owner and founder of SM Aesthetic Lab, brings over 15 years of experience in the beauty and cosmetic medical field. As a registered cosmetic nurse and clinical trainer for both Teoxane and the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science (AACDS), Maddy is highly regarded in the industry.
Her career began as a dermal therapist, where she honed her skills in enhancing patients' skin through advanced laser and skincare treatments. Driven by her passion for the cosmetic field, Maddy pursued a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Tasmania, specialising in cosmetic treatments. She further expanded her knowledge with a Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Nursing from AACDS.
Throughout her career, Maddy has collaborated with leading cosmetic doctors and cosmetic nurses, allowing her to develop a diverse skill set. This extensive experience enables her to provide comprehensive assessments for her patients, offering insights into surgical and non-surgical treatment options, as well as skincare solutions tailored to each individual’s concerns. Her dedication to education is also reflected in her completion of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, establishing her as a respected clinical trainer and leader in the cosmetic industry.
SM Aesthetic Lab was created with Maddy's vision of offering a clinic that combines a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere with the highest standards of clinical care. She finds great fulfilment in helping her clients gain confidence and happiness through her work, whether it's through cosmetic procedures or advanced skin treatments.
Outside of her professional achievements, Maddy is a devoted mother to two daughters and deeply values her time with them. She is also committed to mentoring the next generation of cosmetic nurses and doctors, sharing her knowledge to help them succeed in the industry.

Zoe Yared
Clinic Manager | Marketing Manager
Zoe Yared holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing Management, and leads the strategic growth, operations, and long-term development of SM Aesthetic Lab. She works closely alongside Clinic Owner Nurse Maddy on business development initiatives, clinic expansion planning, and overall performance strategy.
Zoe oversees brand direction, digital marketing, e-commerce optimisation, and client experience, ensuring seamless alignment between in-clinic services and the online platform. With a strong foundation in marketing strategy and consumer behaviour, she focuses on data-driven decision making, conversion optimisation, supplier partnerships, and operational management, supporting sustainable growth while maintaining the clinic’s high professional standard.
Dr Thomas Webb
Graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery, Dr Webb has spent the last five years working as a surgical trainee in Sydney.
With a particular interest in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Dr Webb has turned his sights to Cosmetic medicine, incorporating his knowledge of anatomy and technical ability to provide minimally invasive rejuvenation techniques, emphasising symmetry and aesthetic outcomes.
Dr Webb collaborates with several aesthetic medical clinics and national scripting partners around Australia. Ensuring patient comfort and safety are paramount to Dr Webb, and he always aims to exceed his patient’s expectations for all cosmetic procedures.
Dr Thomas Webb has worked alongside Nurse Maddy since SM Aesthetic Lab was founded in 2020. He prides himself on his attention to detail to ensure he achieves the best possible outcomes for his patients. Dr Webb is known for and maintains a natural aesthetic with subtle enhancements specific to the patient’s goals.
Dr Nico Foley
Dr Nico Foley is a registered Medical Doctor specialising in Cosmetic Medicine with over ten years of experience in her field.
Prior to her career in cosmetic medicine, Dr Foley trained and worked at St Vincent’s Hospital in Darlinghurst Sydney, spending significant time in Emergency Medicine and surgical sub-specialties. She has a special interest in women’s sexual health, with a background in reproductive fertility science, she takes a sensitive and proactive approach to clinical treatments aimed at enhancing female sexual function.
Dr Foley believes in taking a natural approach to cosmetic medicine with the view that all treatments should aim to rejuvenate and give a youthful, natural appearance that reflects the individual person, accentuates natural beauty whilst retaining a patient’s individuality.
Dr Foley additionally holds a current position on the Medical Advisory Board for Laser Clinics Australia, improving complication management and patient safety from an excellence advocacy perspective. She regularly sees and treats referrals for complications and negative outcomes within Cosmetic Medicine.
Dr Soo Keat Lim
Dr Lim graduated with an MBBS from the University of Sydney in 1966 and has been working in cosmetic medicine for over 27 years. He is renowned for his expertise in Body Shaping / Liposculpture and trains other doctors in Body Shaping.
Dr Lim has been the Head of the Liposuction Training Program of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery for almost 20 years. He is also well known for his skill in various cosmetic treatments and Sclerotherapy, the treatment of Varicose & Spider Veins. As a result, he is also called upon to train other doctors in these fields by leading companies in the cosmetic industry.
A strong believer in and advocate of promoting the benefit of a strong united body to represent cosmetic doctors, Dr Lim is very involved with The Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS) and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Medicine of the ACCS ( FFMACCS ) as well as a council member and current treasurer. He was a Past President of the ACCS. He is now the Chairperson of the ACCS Liposuction Committee which looks after its Liposuction / Liposculpture training program. He is also a mentor for the Surgical and Medical Registrars of the ACCS and has convened the college’s annual Liposuction Workshops since 2004. For all the services he has given to the college, he has been awarded a Life Membership in the ACCS.
Nurse Tara
Advanced Cosmetic Nurse
Tara Cunningham is an Advanced Cosmetic Nurse with over 10 years of experience in the cosmetic and aesthetics industry. Throughout her career, Tara has refined her skills across a wide range of advanced cosmetic procedures, with a strong focus on personalised treatment planning, facial balancing, and understanding each client’s unique anatomy.
Her approach combines clinical knowledge with an artistic eye, ensuring treatments are tailored to enhance natural features while maintaining harmony and balance. With experience across cosmetic injectables, skin health, and laser treatments, Tara brings a holistic perspective to patient care, looking at the skin, structure, and overall aesthetic goals together.
Tara is also a beautiful mum to her baby boy and brings a warm, nurturing presence to the clinic. As our Head Cosmetic Nurse, she will play an integral role in guiding client treatment plans, supporting our nursing team, and continuing to deliver the high standard of care SM Aesthetic Lab is known for.
Nurse Sarah
Registered Nurse | Dermal Clinician
Sarah is a qualified Registered Nurse and Dermal Therapist who brings a unique combination of medical and beauty knowledge to SM Aesthetic Lab. Holding a Diploma in Beauty Therapy (2018) and a Bachelor of Nursing (2024), she offers a comprehensive and well-rounded approach to cosmetic treatments and skin health.
Sarah has completed her foundational training in cosmetic injectables through Fresh Clinics, including Introduction to Anti-Wrinkle and Dermal Fillers. She also holds certifications in Vascular Compromise Management and Emergency Response in Aesthetic Practice, ensuring client safety and best-practice care at every stage of treatment.
Passionate about helping clients feel confident and empowered, Sarah focuses on tailoring every treatment to suit the individual’s skin type, aesthetic goals, and lifestyle. Her dual background allows her to approach each consultation with both a clinical and holistic mindset, promoting natural results and long-term skin health.
Nurse Jen
Registered Nurse | Laser Clinician
Nurse Jen, our accomplished dermal therapist and cosmetic nurse, holds a Diploma of Nursing (2020), a Bachelor’s in Nursing (2022), and a Laseraid training certificate (2023). With extensive experience in dermatological care, Jen excels in delivering customisable cosmetic procedures and skin treatments.
Her primary focus is on ensuring clients achieve their best results through a comprehensive range of treatments, including advanced laser therapy and personalised treatment plans. Dedicated to enhancing both beauty and skin health, Jen combines her expertise and passion to provide exceptional care tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Nurse Seph
Registered Nurse | Dermal Therapist
Nurse Seph began her journey in the aesthetics industry several years ago at SM Aesthetic Lab as their first employee where she quickly developed a passion for client care and the science behind skincare. This experience inspired her to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. After graduating in 2023, she continued studying in cosmetic nursing & dermal therapies at AACDS before returning to SM Aesthetic Lab to further her clinical skills.
Seph is passionate about skin health and takes pride in making sure every patient feels safe, comfortable, and well-informed when they leave their appointment. She is dedicated to continually building her experience in dermal therapies, laser treatments, and cosmetic medical procedures, with a focus on natural, undetectable but refreshed results! Seph loves supporting her patients every step of the way, offering genuine care, honest advice, and education to help them feel their best in and out of the clinic.
Seph is a mum to a beautiful baby boy, an avid reader, a true crime podcast listener.
Nurse Nicole
Registered Nurse | Dermal Therapist
Nicole is a qualified Registered Nurse with over eight years of nursing experience and a growing passion for cosmetic medicine and dermal therapies. Her background in healthcare has shaped her calm, caring and education-focused approach, allowing her to support clients with confidence throughout their treatment journey.
Nicole is passionate about creating natural-looking results that enhance each client’s individual features. She focuses on facial balance, symmetry and subtle refinement, ensuring each treatment plan is tailored to the client’s goals, facial structure and desired outcome.
She takes pride in educating clients on their treatment options, skin health and what may be most suitable for them, helping every client feel informed, comfortable and supported from consultation through to treatment. Nicole also speaks Cantonese, allowing her to connect with and support a wider range of clients within the clinic.
Nurse Avril
Registered Nurse
Avril completed her Bachelor of Nursing in Perth in 1998 and later earned a Master’s in Health, Safety, and Environment in 2014. She has a diverse nursing background, including surgical nursing, mental health nursing, and remote area nursing with a strong focus on health and safety.
In 2015, Avril relocated to Sydney and transitioned into roles within pharmaceutical and medical device companies as an account manager. She has worked with a leading cosmetic company (Hugel), providing training in anti-wrinkle and skin treatments to cosmetic nurses and doctors across NSW.
Nurse Alexandra
Alexandra is an Enrolled Nurse with a strong passion for the aesthetic industry, dermal therapies and skincare. She has always loved the way skin and cosmetic treatments can support confidence, and she enjoys guiding clients through their individual skin journeys with care, education and encouragement.
Alexandra is passionate about helping clients feel heard, supported and comfortable throughout every stage of their treatment experience. She takes pride in providing a high level of care, ensuring each client feels informed about their options and confident in their personalised treatment plan.
With a warm and approachable nature, Alexandra is dedicated to continually growing her knowledge in dermal therapies and skin health while supporting clients to achieve their best possible results. Outside of the clinic, Alexandra is also a twin to her beautiful sister.
Sarah (Sez) O’Neill
Sez is a Dermal Therapist at SM Aesthetic Lab and also plays an important role in reception and client care, ensuring every client feels welcomed and supported from the moment they walk through the door. With over five years of experience in dermal therapies, she specialises in advanced skin treatments including laser, facials, and skin needling, taking a holistic and personalised approach to skin health both in-clinic and through tailored at-home routines.
Sez has a genuine love for skin and is passionate about helping clients feel confident and comfortable throughout their journey. Known for her warmth, attentiveness, and nurturing nature, she builds strong relationships with clients while delivering thoughtful, results-focused care.
